The 36 days in four numbers

Search & AI Visibility Baseline 5 August – 9 September 2026 · 36 days
Google Search Console & GA4 · frozen 11 September 2026

They find you by name. They don't find you by product.

This is the starting point we measure everything against. Search Console began collecting for theofficeofus.com on 5 August 2026, so the baseline is 36 days of clean data — not the 90 days a standard report would assume.

9.5
Average position
bottom of page one — an average of 2.1 on brand, 12.1 on product

That 9.5 is two numbers averaged. On searches that name the house the site sits at 2.1 and is clicked 47% of the time. On searches that name the product it sits at 12.1 and is clicked 0.3%. There is no single position for this site — there are two, and every position further down this page carries the same blend.

They find you by name. They don't find you by product.

The gap that defines the work

Every named search query in the period, split by whether it names the brand.

46.8%
Someone searches for the brand
80 queries · 11,527 impressions · 5,390 clicks
0.3%
Someone searches for the product
2,787 queries · 54,719 impressions · 185 clicks

People who already know The Office of Us click almost one time in two. That is a strong brand signal and it is working.

People searching for the product — “white oxford shoes for women”, “white oxford womens shoes” — see the site 54,719 times and click 185.

The reason is position. On brand searches the site sits at 2.1. On product searches it sits around 12.1 — the bottom of page one or the top of page two, where almost nobody looks. The result is not being rejected; it is not being seen.

Pages Google shows, and pages people open

Two different systems side by side. Impressions, clicks, CTR and position are Google only — what Search Console recorded. Page views are every visit however it arrived, counted by GA4. A page can be shown constantly and opened rarely, or opened constantly and never shown; the distance between the two is the point.

How to read a row. Under each path is the search that produced most of that page’s impressions. Under each position is the pair the average hides: where the page sits on brand searches, and where it sits on product searches. /pages/about-us sits at 1.8 because 99% of the times Google showed it, someone had typed “the office of angela scott” — the house name. On the product searches it could win, it sits at 14.8.

Two pages tell opposite stories.

/collections/womens-oxford is shown 51,460 times — more than half of every impression the site earns — and opened 5,869. Strip out brand searches and the picture is sharp: 36,848 impressions, 57 clicks, average position 12.2. On brand searches the same URL sits at 1.2. One page, two very different places in the results.

/pages/faq is the reverse: 1,981 people open it and Google showed it 148 times. Only 109 of those views are someone arriving at the site — the other 94% are people already browsing who go looking for an answer. The page is used and search never offers it.

Until this phase, a crawler read zero characters from it: the Help Center loads in a frame from another domain, so the page arrived empty. All 63 questions are now readable.

Organic search is 9.3% of all sessions and carries no cost per click.

Paid search is buying the brand, not the product. Of the 2,033 sessions where the paid keyword is known, 99.6% come from searches that name the house — the same searches where organic already sits at position 2.1 and is clicked 47% of the time. On product searches, where organic sits at 12.1, there is almost no bidding at all.

AI assistants are a measured channel with 62 sessions. Small, and that is the point: it is the floor. The FAQ work in this phase is what gives those sessions something to grow from.

On the window. Search Console holds no data for theofficeofus.com before 5 August 2026 — the property began collecting then. Any report showing this brand over a longer period is either reading the previous domain, theofficeofangelascott.com, or counting days that hold nothing. These 36 days are the honest floor; everything from here is measured against them. Every figure on this page was read from Search Console and GA4 on 11 September 2026 and is fixed at that reading. This is the baseline of record: it does not move, so anything measured later can be compared against it.
